Long-read sequencing for unsolved hearing loss

Nanopore sequencing + pipelines aimed at the noncoding corners of hearing-loss genes that don’t show up on the usual tests.

What I’m doing

This is a mix of wet lab + computation. The goal is to make long-read sequencing actually usable in a real diagnostic setting — not just “cool tech.”

Why I care

Hearing loss is personal for me, and I really don’t like when families get stuck with “we don’t know.” If we can get better answers, everything downstream gets easier (treatment, planning, trial eligibility, etc.).
